Understanding the Ethics and Regulation of Artificial Intelligence. A Competencies’ strategy for managers, professionals and trainers

REGULAITE aims at developing a competencies strategy in Continuous Vocational Training on ethics and regulation of Artificial Intelligence.

ABOUT REGULAITE

REGULAITE is a two-year project co-founded by the Erasmus Plus Programme of the European Union, which aims at boosting competences in Continuous Vocational Training (C-VET) on ethics and regulation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the industrial ecosystem. AI has been developing fast, raising the issue of how to navigate its ethical challenges and regulation, taking into account human consequences. In April 2021, the European Commission proposed its first legislation on AI to limit the risks of some of its uses and to ensure its proper use. This has raised the need to have good learning opportunities to promote the technical skills one needs to understand AI and the harm that its misuse can cause. REGULAITE works to offer training content and tools to SME managers, lawyers, policymakers, and trainers who will have access to a comprehensive training course in video format delivered through an e-learning platform to be spread across Europe.
The new AI Act was approved by the European Parliament in March 2024, making the learning content offered by REGULAITE highly relevant as well as a useful tool for learning more about the subject. The course on Artificial Intelligence Ethics is available for free on the EdApp e-learning platform in English, Italian, Portuguese, and German.
